From Koh Samui to Oahu — Hello Explorer Guide is officially taking its first step into the United States.
This October marks an exciting new chapter for Hello Explorer Guide as we begin our first U.S. expansion in Oahu, Hawaii.
For us, Hawaii feels like the perfect place to start.
Hello Explorer Guide was originally born on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand, with one simple idea:
Help travelers answer one question: Where should we go and what should we do?
Now, our journey takes us from one island destination to another.

During October, Hello Explorer founders John and Maria will be based in Honolulu for approximately one month as we begin a soft digital launch of Hello Explorer Oahu.
Rather than arriving with everything already decided, we want to experience Oahu properly.
We will explore the island, meet local people, discover businesses, visit attractions, experience restaurants and activities, and learn what makes Oahu special.
Our goal is to build Hello Explorer together with the people who already know the island best.

Of course, Hawaii has world-famous beaches and attractions. But Hello Explorer has always been interested in going further.

One idea we will explore in Hawaii is our Explorer Host concept — local people who can help travelers discover Oahu through personal recommendations and, eventually, unique or private experiences.
If you know the best hidden beach, the small restaurant everyone should try, the perfect sunset location or the places tourists normally drive straight past, we want to know you.

Opening in the United States is a major milestone for Hello Explorer Guide.
What started on Koh Samui is gradually becoming something much bigger.
The idea remains the same:
Connect travelers with places, experiences and people worth discovering.
But every destination should have its own personality. We don’t want Oahu to simply become another location inside a global travel platform.
We want Hello Explorer Oahu to feel like Oahu.
That means working with local businesses, guides, creators and people who understand the island.
And This Is Only the Beginning…
October is about exploration.
Research.
Meetings.
Content.
New friendships.
New partnerships.
And discovering what Hello Explorer can become in Hawaii.
